A LIFE CONNECTED TO SERVICE
From personal experience to a calling.
I grew up in a family of public servants. My father was a police officer and Air Force veteran, and my mother was an emergency room nurse and Army veteran. I later served in the Army National Guard.
My path into chaplaincy grew through Grace Chapel in Wilsonville and community chaplain training with Responders Resource Center. I joined Public Safety Chaplaincy as a volunteer chaplain in late 2021.
Today, I serve across 10 public safety agencies, including as Lead Chaplain for Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue. My work brings me alongside firefighters, police officers, dispatchers, emergency medical personnel, and families through difficult calls, loss, and everyday life.
A ministry we share.
Nicole brings her strengths in marketing, fundraising, and community events. We have three children and understand how much family life matters to those who serve.
Hope Chaplain incorporated as an Oregon nonprofit corporation in April 2026. A board of community members helps guide our wider ministry, including Hope Station, training, speaking, officiant services, and community care.

My Christian faith is the foundation of my calling. You do not need to share my beliefs to receive care. Prayer and spiritual conversation are offered according to your wishes.
Sometimes care means listening quietly or helping someone find a practical next step.
PARTNERSHIPS AND PREPARATION
Stronger through shared service.
My agency chaplain service is carried out through Public Safety Chaplaincy (PSC), which trained and credentialed me. PSC maintains the Oregon Chaplains Academy, where I completed basic and advanced training and now serve as an instructor.
These relationships support practical preparation, continued learning, and connection with fellow chaplains.
Prepared to care.
My training includes crisis intervention, grief following trauma, suicide intervention, peer support, Spiritual First Aid, and the Acute Stress Adaptive Protocol.
I am a ResponderStrong Master Trainer and a Prepare/Enrich facilitator. I continue learning so I can recognize the limits of my role and connect people with additional support when needed.
